Matters needing attention

If you’re fitting the shade outside the recess and the brackets project the shade about 1 1/2" away from the wall so again you will have light penetration around the edges of the shade again another option that you could consider is layering your shade. so you could have black hat curtains in front of your blackout room and shade and again, this will just help to give it extra layers and reduce any light coming into the room.

Please note there may still be light penetration around the edges of the shade, if you’re fitting within a recess.We would recommend measuring water wall ,and then we will down to take1/8'' off that, so the edges of the shade don’t rub against the walls or weather, you just give us the water wall measurement. You will have a smallgap either side which will ensure as I said the fabric doesn’t rub on the walls but it light will penetrate through that very small gap and if you go wall-to-wall. It will reduce the light penetration down the side but the fabric may just rub on the side walls so it’s just down to personal preference .
